Patrick- Don’t Lalani look BOMB today?
Kelly- Yeah she’s a cutie! But she too young for me
Dustin- Yeah if I didn’t have Eva & I wanted to go to jail I would get at Lalani!
Patrick- (I laugh) Fo’ real! Haha!
Dustin- I’m just playin’ that’s all you Pat
Patrick- Naw, we’re just friends
Kelly- Yeah right!

Patrick- Forget ya’ll!
They start to laugh on the way to our class. Me & Kelly got the same class, Dustin got his class next to ours.
Dustin- Ayo, I need some ideas Kelly
Kelly- For what?
Dustin- Well since my party is next week, we gotta think about who to invite
Kelly- Oh word! I’ll help you afta school
Dustin- Aight then, I’ll see ya’ll at lunch

Oh man! I wasn’t watchin’ where I was going & I bumped into somebody.
? – Oh my gosh! I’m sorry! (she bends down to pick up her stuff)
Patrick- No girl, my fault. I wasn’t watchin’ where I was goin’ (I help her pick up her stuff)
I look up & see this girl. She’s about 5’2, okay looking body but you can’t really tell with her baggy shirt & long basketball shorts on. Her face is basically hidden behind glasses & smile brightened by the gleam in her braces. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail but it still looked long & it was like a light brown. I’d seen her before but never really talked to her.
Patrick- Hey! I’ve seen you around! What’s your name?
? – I’m Rochelle…well Ricky that’s what my nickname is
Patrick- Ricky? Like in that J.Lo movie?
? – Yeah…I mean yes (she says nervously)
Kelly- Hurry up man! You blockin’ the entrance! (he pushes me)
Patrick- Oh my bad! (we go to our seats)
Ricky was cool but she was a little nervous I could tell. She kind of was a loner cause she didn’t have really any friends. She seemed like a cool girl though. I thought she would be good friend material so I thought I’d get up & get to know this girl. I didn’t like how she was sitting by herself anyway. Honestly, I hate when people go by looks! It’s what’s on the inside that counts! She might have not been the FINEST girl in the class but she sounded like she was cool. Besides, she looked like she needed a friend.
Patrick- I’ll be right back
Kelly- Aight (texting Novy from his cell phone)
Patrick- (I take the seat next to her) Hey
Ricky- (she sits up) Oh hey. Do you need something?
Patrick- No I just wanna talk to you
Ricky- For what? I don’t tutor anymore
Patrick- Gah lee girl calm down. Can’t I talk to you?
Ricky- Well yeah but not too many guys want to, especially guys like you
Patrick- Like me? What do you mean like me?

Patrick- Pssh! Please girl, I’m not like that. If you’re a good person I’ll talk to you
Ricky- Well that’s good at least you don’t go for looks in your friends

We get to talking & she starts to loosen up a little. She’s really smart & cool. So I made a new friend in Ricky & she made a new friend in me.
